General Terms of Use and Sale

1. Purpose

These General Terms of Use and Sale (hereinafter the “Terms”) govern the use of the CVpass service, available at https://cvpass.fr, published by VertexLab. CVpass is an online AI-powered CV analysis and optimisation service that allows users to calculate their ATS (Applicant Tracking System) compatibility score, receive personalised improvement suggestions, and generate optimised documents.

2. Acceptance of the Terms

Access to and use of the CVpass service constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the service. Continued use of the service after the publication of changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

3. Access to the Service

• Using CVpass requires creating a user account via our authentication partner, Clerk.
• The user agrees to provide accurate information and to keep their login credentials confidential.
• The user is responsible for all activity carried out under their account.
• VertexLab reserves the right to suspend or delete any account in the event of a violation of these Terms or fraudulent use of the service.

5. Pricing and Payment

• All prices are shown in euros, inclusive of all taxes (VAT included).
• Payment is secure and processed exclusively by Stripe, our PCI DSS-certified payment provider.
• CVpass does not collect or store any banking data (card number, CVV, expiration date).
• Billing is immediate at the time of purchase for the 2-Credit Pack (€2.90), and at the start of each period for the Unlimited Pro subscription (€8.90/month).
• VertexLab reserves the right to change its pricing. Any change will be notified to active subscribers 30 days before it takes effect.

7. Termination

• The user may cancel their subscription at any time from their “My account” area or by email at contact@cvpass.fr.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• No cancellation penalty applies.
• After cancellation, the user retains access to the service until the end of the period already billed.
• VertexLab reserves the right to terminate a user's account in the event of a violation of these Terms, with prior notification by email except in cases of emergency.

8. Intellectual Property

• All elements making up the CVpass service (software, algorithms, interface, text, graphics, logo, database) are the exclusive property of VertexLab and are protected by French and international intellectual property laws.
• The “CVpass” trademark and associated logo are the exclusive property of VertexLab. Any unauthorised reproduction or use is prohibited.
• CVs uploaded by users remain their exclusive property. CVpass claims no ownership rights over content uploaded by users.
• The user grants CVpass a temporary, limited, and non-exclusive license to process their CV for the sole purpose of providing the service (analysis, suggestions, export).

9. Limitation of Liability

• CVpass is a tool to help optimise CVs and does not guarantee, under any circumstances, obtaining an interview or a job.
• Suggestions generated by artificial intelligence are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute guaranteed professional advice.
• The user remains solely responsible for the content of their CV and the information it contains.
• VertexLab cannot be held liable for hiring decisions made by third parties based on a CV analysed or optimised via CVpass.
• VertexLab's total liability is limited to the amount actually paid by the user over the past 12 months.
• VertexLab cannot be held liable in the event of force majeure, Internet network malfunction, or any cause beyond its control.

11. Changes to the Terms

VertexLab reserves the right to modify these Terms. In the event of a substantial change, users will be notified by email at least 30 days before the new Terms take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
